To inform the SSH researchers in Switzerland about

• the structure and content of the EU’s next framework programme “Horizon 2020“
• the EU interests and expectations with regard to “Horizon 2020”
• conditions, best practice etc. for a successful participation in “Horizon 2020”, based on the experiences gained in earlier framework programmes

To identify

• the strengths and potential of Swiss SSH research from a national and an international point of view
• focal points of Swiss research that could be valorised in “Horizon 2020”
• mutual interests of the EU and Swiss SSH researchers
• the position of Swiss research towards “Horizon 2020”

Outcome:
To contribute to

• the integration and formulation of SSH concerns in “Horizon 2020”
• the composition of the work programmes by defining possible research questions
• the integration of SSH research in Switzerland with a view to future proposal submissions
• Raising the general awareness of and for SSH research
